FOODIE INTERRUPTION #1:
For those of you who requested photos of the local eats and random food samplings from China, here we begin in no particular order:
The following three photos are from lunch on June 21. From top to bottom, they are chicken feet, donkey meat and veggie dumplings, and liver (I can't remember what animal) with some spicy noodles. There were some other tasty dishes too, but they all got gobbled up before I could even turn on my camera, so I only managed to take pictures of the dishes most of the team wouldn't eat. Xuefeng and I resisted telling the others about the donkey meat until after they'd tried some. It was gamey, like venison. Nicole was pretty excited to have had some. "Yay! Now I can say I've had donkey," she exclaimed.
